Excellent Folk Album from Finland

I just discovered an amazing folk album from a Finnish band called Varttina. They sing in Finnish but even if you don't understand the lyrics the voices and instrumentation are simply beautful.

They have an English language website www.varttina.com with downloadable stuff. Amazingly I found their latest album in a record shop in Nottingham.

They are called Varttina and their new CD is called "Miero" ("The Outcast")

Well worth checking out if anyone is interested.

Fascinating....since I know a couple of folks who speak Finnish, I may just have to look for this one. I wonder if the lyrics are as depressed as so many things Finnish seem to be?

I listened to the first video, and it was very intense, though I couldn't understand a word, they enunciated very well...if I spoke Finnish I would have no problem with the lyrics. Nice looking bunch, very tight group.
