Jenny, I had difficulty registering, as well. In my case, the webmaster didn't trust the email address I used, my yahoo email, although it's my primary one and I've been using it almost exclusively for over 15 years. I finally wrote him, giving him another email address and he apologized for the delay, saying they were looking for an email address that directly reflected an internet provider. They didn't want to register anyone using a free email account, such as yahoo. (The email address they did accept was an sbcglobal.net address. Att.net, aol.com, etc. should also work.)

I don't know how much may have changed since that time (2008), but it may be that hotmail is regarded as one of those free email clients and therefore suspect.

Jenny, I just checked, and she's not in the queue - she needs to go in and go through the registration process, and then when I check I can pass her through. I'm not aware of anything current that just bans hotmail or yahoo users, but she does have to go through all the regular steps.
