There's a very nice article on CNN that has an update and some comments from Paul on the current state of pop music.

An interesting read. Thanks, AceOn6.

(I'd call you Dee, but some people might think I'm talking to myself ... again.) :D

No problem, Dee. Sometimes the best conversation is with the voices in my head.

What a coincidence. I am listening to Peter, Paul & Mommy - a CD for kids. I picked it up from the library today along with No Easy Walk To Freedom.
One of the recent posts here mentioned Joan Baez which made me think of protest songs which made me think of PP&M's "El Salvador".

"And kill the people to set them free
Who put this price on their liberty?
Don't you think it's time to leave...
El Salvador?"

Oh you have that too huh? Undoubtedly it has to be somehow related to being Dees. :D

I'm good with it ... until the arguments break out. Then I get a little, um, disturbed. LOL

I love Peter, Paul & Mommy! Many happy memories of singing in the car w/my girls!

"Daddy's takin' us to the zoo tomorrow,
zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow.
Daddy's taking us to the zoo tomorrow,
and we can stay all day."

Geez...now I have to go dig it out.

Reading Karen's post, I started thinking, "Sigh. I used to love to go to the zoo..." and then I realized -- I'm in the Zoo now! Seems so different when you're one of the beasts...:p

I've played it a 3 times in the last 2 hours. However, I don't think I would recommend playing more than twice in a row. :D

They are friends because they all sing to each other..."

Was it televised, and did I miss it? I think they should be among the Lincoln Center Lifetime Achievement Honorees!...preferably the same night that Janis is.
