Yep, that would be me. I'd been asked to do a volunteer judging gig for some Indianapolis Public Schools next Tues, and had not received details, so I called my boss. He and I go way back to elementary school, as does the 3rd judge on the panel.
Anyway, he told me what he knows so far, and we were hanging up when he said, "Enjoy your trip this Saturday." I was planning a trip to the Chicago area, but he wouldn't have known that. I asked where he thought I was going, and he replied that I was headed to southern Indiana. Noooo, that's next week. He checked his calendar, and it is this Saturday!!
YIKES!!! For some reason, I always had it in my head that I'd be going to Floyds Knobs, IN (yes, that's the name of the town...) next week, the 24th!! Even when I got the info in the mail, I didn't pay any attention to the date, because I knew...
I would have headed off to Chicagoland and it would have been a huge mess!!
I was going up there to meet a friend I haven't seen in years! Her daughter does hair/makeup for the TV show Clean House, and they are doing one in Hammond, so I was going to go up. Barb lives near Detroit, so I told her I'd probably come up in Nov. when Janis is going to be there.
From now on, I'm double-checking my dates!!!
