Tupelo tonight!

Michelle and I are excited about seeing Janis tonight at Tupelo Music Hall. What an awesome venue! I may have to take a nap this afternoon, but it'll be fun as always. I'm hoping (please?) that maybe she'll play "Tattoo" tonight since tomorrow is Holocaust Remembrance Day. I don't think I've ever heard her do it live. Regardless, we'll have a blast, and we'll let everyone know how it went!

I saw Janis perform "Tattoo" in Atlanta in 1993 when "Breaking Silence" was just released. It was very moving.

Well, I'm still half asleep (dog woke me up bright and early), but it was an incredible show last night. First of all, Natalia Zukerman. Wow! If you haven't checked her music out, you should. She is awesome and joined Janis for At Seventeen and a very beautiful, quiet, sitting on the edge of the stage version of My Tennessee Hills while accompaning on dobro. Man. Never heard that song live before and what a version it was. I don't remember the entire set list (maybe Amy does), but it was another fantastic show. Thank you, Janis, for the invite to tonight's show in Salisbury. We're definitely considering it even though I have to work bright and early Monday morning!

I am jealous you guys get to go to Salisbury tonite, but I will get to see Janis on Thursday in my old stomping grounds in Woodstock, in the company of my girlfriend, so what could be bad about that!
