Gads, I contracted a cold virus and not only can I not attend Janis's
Phoenix performance, I can't work the Merch. table. I was so looking
forward to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have asked two friends of mine to inform
Debra of my absence and if needed they will fill in for me. The Show Will
Go ON..............thanks to Janis. I could drag myself there but besides
exposing many people to my active viral stage, Janis could become sick,
NOT ON MY WATCH.

Bummer, pattip

That really is the ultimate bummer. Been there.....But good on ya for not going and exposing anyone else to the virus. Take care of yourself. Sending you Rudie Vibes and virtual chicken soup.

Marcia :(

My condolences Patti. I am also suffering with a nasty head cold that is presently mostly in my throat. Usually, like you, I do my best not to expose anyone else by staying home but unfortunately I have a huge project with a looming deadline and I can't lose any time from work. Judging by the number of people I heard hacking in the halls at work, I am not alone. You did the right thing.

Oh man... that totally sucks. Have you thought of getting in a big plastic bag with a tank of oxygen and just have someone carry you to the show. So sorry this had to happen now. But, thanks for not going on behalf of Janis fans everywhere. That's a very selfless thing to do. Hope you feel better very soon... Best, E :(

I could here Janis singing "Through The Years". Ahhhhhhh, I feel much better
now. Thanks for the kind words also, germs beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gads, excuse the typo on Janis's name, I couldn't correct it in the EDIT mode, oh well,
we did establish that I am sick, sicko, lol

Well, we missed ya Patti, but you were probably smart since the Rhythm Room was a VERY small club, but PACKED (standing room only!!). I worked the Merchandise table, which was fun. Pre-concert sales were pretty slow, then it picked up at intermission and was especially busy when she was autographing.

I set up my camcorder near me at the merchandise table, so unfortunately there were often people (including the wait staff delivering drinks) walking back and forth in front of the camera. After the intermission I was at the table and so many tall people were standing in front of me that I couldn't see Janis nor get to the camera, so hopefully it was set up on the tripod to catch most of her when she was at the microphone.

So far have enjoyed my two days in Arizona, though I was kind of worried that I had brought the cold and rainy weather down from Seattle as it was windy and rainy yesterday in Tucson and then when I drove up to Phoenix. Got to enjoy a spring training baseball game today before the concert and it was sunny and 60 degrees (cool for here, but felt nice for me).

Will be heading back down to Tucson and will see Janis again at the book festival with J.A. Jance. I'm hoping they will let me videotape them there!

It's past midnight and I'm exhausted. Sorry, don't have the set list or any photos.
