I am hoping someone can help me.

I have a Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard. Whenever I download the latest Firefox, Safari or Opera browser I lose the text on all of the forum's pages (i.e. title, logged in as, seperate using commas etc..) So I deleted the newer versions of Firefox and Opera and downloaded the older versions. Everything was fine until I got on youtube and it said that soon these browsers would no longer be supported. Aaak! Is there something I need to change in the settings of the newer versions of the browsers? Right now I am using Netscape.

Help! & Thanks!

Hmmmmmmmmm... did you have this problem before that whole avatar thing yesterday? This has Lily Tomlin written all over it. :)

I have a MAC running X10.5.8, and have Safari, Firefox and when I log into the JIMB the text that says "Thank you for logging in, Mary" is missing, usually along with other VBulletin messages... although the text underneath that says, ("click here if your browser doesn't redirect you) always appears

I only seem to have text drop out on the Mac with these browsers, it doesn't happen on my PC with Explorer or Firefox.... although on the PC it does drop out on Google Chrome.

I don't know what to tell you other than that.

I have this same occurrence and I'm using Windows Vista with the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. I've always had this with all versions of Firefox. As a matter of fact, when I first registered on the JIMB, I was running "blind," as I couldn't see some of the text needed for the newuser registration process. I discovered that I could see all the missing text by using Internet Explorer. I really prefer Firefox and still use it almost exclusively. Since that registration difficulty, I don't really need the text I'm missing so just don't worry about it. I don't find this type of difficulty on any other website, at least not that I'm aware of.

..and yet another reason people keep using Internet Explorer....

Its really very simple. 90+% of all websites and web apps are optimized for the largest segment of the market. And that largest segment remains, and is likely to remain, Windows with Internet Explorer, inspite of security issues, legal fights and the protheletizing of MAC users, Java lovers and Mozillans.

Bill Gates is no dummy....
