Honestly I had no idea who Vicki Randle was so I cheated and checked her website.... I was very very very impressed seeing the listings under discography..... I hope you have an amazing time at the bash.... And thanks for opening my eyes...

Randy, she has been around for a long time, as a studio musician, back ground vocalist for many different people. She has been the lead singer and percussionist for the Tonight Show Band (aka Jay Leno's show) for at least the last 14 years. She finally got around to making her own album, it's still in the works, due out next month. Judging by what we saw last night, it's going to be great. Bonnie Hayes (who wrote several of Bonnie Raitt's hits, like Love Letter and Have a Heart) is producing it, playing keyboards and I think cowriting a song or two, and Barbara Higbie....a terrific piano player and violinist is also on the album. vickirandle.com


I was wishing I had Janis postcards to scatter around, but I ran into a snafu and couldn't get them done in time. The audience would have definitely been interested.

I guess I remember Vicki from the early
Cris Williamson/Meg Christian/Margie Adam years when she was doing percussion with them. Of course I know she has been into the late night scene for years now! It's nice to see somebody from those times and background make it to the big time!

Oh yeah. Barbara Higbee. I've seen her live several times. Quite a talent.

There ARE advantages to living in California. There are some performers who you get to see that we don't and of course, vice-versa! ;)
