Yes, One in a billion. There is none other like the artist Janis Ian. This DVD spans more than 40 years of one of a kind, brilliant material in a masterful, magical way. Janis Ian alone on stage with her guitar ( and a little bit of piano, a RARE find) makes you believe in music. Janis takes you to the heights of joy and the depths of sadness to deep laughter and all the way back around again, each time making the viewer take a bit of a look inside themselves. And doing this Janis Ian somehow makes us think "She knows me" personally " This is my song" in our hearts. you won't wonder where she has gone, you will happily realize she has always been right here, with her lyrical,musical, instrumental genious. A must for any Janis Ian fan. Recorded in 2008, Janis is in wonderful form as she takes the viewer on a stroll through songs from a career that is still going strong. We're even treated to couple of songs on piano, something that is rarely seen from her these days.

A must for any Janis Ian fan yes, but truly a must for anyone who appreciates talented singer songwriters who aren't cut from the American Idol cloth and who can truly touch your heart.

No, This is musical history. My better half and I always enjoy anything Janis does and the performance at Grand Center is no exception. I can tell you if you enjoy the music of Janis Ian it dosen't get any better then this. 15 songs performed live including several songs performed her on the piano... This is NOT some tired remake of old videos... This is new and was taped live... This was just taped in June of 2008 in Saint Louis and from the first song "Through the years" to the very last song "Joy" you will be spellbound by song after song, a rollercoaster ride for the emotions. If you don't have it, get it... This is a very vibrant time in the Carreer of Janis, between this wonderful video and Janis's newly released autobiographical book "Societys Child" with the twin disk accompanying CD "The Autobiography Collection" there is so much new of a very special artist that won't be forgotten. If your a Janis Ian fan, these are all a must for your collection. There are no regrets to be found here!

I went to Amazon, Music, Janis Ian DVD, & scrolled down to Janis Ian: Live at the Grand Center......I was sad:(....becasue
there were only 4 reviews of her DVD!
