A college student had become friends with a foreign student from Africa.
During holiday recess he went with his friend to his small Village. His father was the Chief of the village so he was quite prominent.
So he wouldn't feel lonely the village put on a gathering at the social hut in the center of the village. Afterward they had to hike the trails around the Village Center to their private huts. A young escort who knew some English was asked to escort him to his hut. Through the brush it is not a quick walk, but the guide ask the cllege student to tell about Christmas since they had gathered to help him not miss the holidays in the U.S. So he told the escort the story of Jesus birth - how he was born in a Manger because there was no room in the Inn. The escort seemed puzzled that there was no room in the Inn, especially for such an important birth. He started to tell him how the Wise Men brought gifts. Just when he had got to that part there was suddenly hollering along the trails and the sound of running.
What is going on the college student asked his young escort? "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger", he repeated in an alarmed manner. The escort hurried him to their hut. Because this guest hut was the closest many of the other villagers ran to the hut also. At least ten were gathered inside the small hut. The escort explained that it wasn't safe to go on the trail until morning. So everyone crowded on the floor together. The college student decided to pass out gifts to the unexpected guests. He had the escort explain that it is a custom to give gifts to celebrate Jesus birth. When everyone had just settled down to begin sleeping crowded together, his escort shook his shoulder to ask him a question. "But why wasn't there any room in the Inn?", the puzzled Escort asked the College Student.
