View Full Version : Beaming Out Christmas
BEAMING OUT CHRISTMAS
based on White Christmas
by Irving Berlin
I’m beaming out a nice Christmas
To every Rudie that I know
May your treetops glisten
While someone’s kissin’
You underneath the mistletoe
I’m beaming out a nice Christmas
With every candy cane I bite
May your hearts fly high as a kite
And may all your gifts be outta sight!
May your hearts fly high as a kite
And may all your gifts be outta sight!

Merry Christmas to everyone!
Come to Kansas City if you want a white one. The entire area is now under a blizzard warning...... A week ago we had a 20% chance of a white Christmas.. Now... 100% chance. (Unless something weird happens.)

We're supposed to get freezing rain tonight and tomorrow...guess we'll just stay home instead of heading to the movies like usual on Christmas Day...went to see Avatar today...since we got snowed out last week and will have bad weather again tomorrow....what a great flick!!!
Happy Holidays to all youse out there in Rudieland!!!

Thanks, Dee....Hope your Christmas is Merry...don't crunch too many candy canes!:)
Thanks Razal. I'll do my best which won't take much since I'm not a big fan of sweets. Just waiting for the boyfriend to come pick me up. We're all gathering at his place for dinner this year. I just spoke to him and I have a feeling I’ll be peeling potatoes once I get there. :p

Great one Dee... Here in LA it's bright and sunny, with a chill in the air. The cats and dogs have new collars, and Greener is "busy" doing something. Later a picnic in Ventura near the beach with her folks. Going to see Nine later! What a wonderful day this is.... I wish the same for all of you fine folks! Love, E

Sounds great, Dee (even the peeling potatoes part!)...just being together, no rushing around, and enjoying each other's company!
Elliott, I can not say it is a sunny Florida day today; a bit overcast....
I hope you both enjoy your day! I am having a much welcome "lazy day"...
...going to get together with a friend and family for a movie---the Meryl Streep one with Alec Baldwin...and Sunday we will reconvene for brunch!!!
I love time off!!!!! Best to all.:)

For those of you who are affected by winter storms and cold
weather, take heart, the Sun is coming.
Dec. 21st, the official start of Winter, is also the unofficial
start of Spring! From now on, daylight gains momentum.
In other words this is the darkness before the dawn.
The Poet Oliver Herford wrote: "I heard a bird sing in the dark
of December; we're nearer to spring than we were in September".
"After today, light slowly begins its intrepid return, flipping the
switch to ON for the inevitable march toward Spring." susan tarr
So, light your candles and lift them high as you will be
able to see passed the moment at hand, towards the light.
"There slept an abyss
a Virgin of Light,
Blink once
Blink twice,
As the story goes
the Sun arose".
:)Warm thoughts to you all from Arizona, pattip

Yes, it was very nice Razal. "Peeling potatoes" ended up being cooking the meal as my gift to the whole gang, except for a homemade meat pie which was a gift from someone else. These folks are members of my family - my non traditional family - the people who actually know and care about me. My own parents couldn't even be bothered enough to send a card.

Dee, I'm glad you were surrounded by people who love and care about you. So you must be quite cook if everyone put you to the task of creating the whole meal....especially the day before your birthday! Sorry about the parents; maybe one day they will come around.

Awww, please don't pity me about my parents. Razal. They are who they are and live in a world of their own creation where the rest of the world is wrong. It's not for me so I keep away from them.
Thanks, Noel. I appreciate them too!

Is there a book in the making?????
Not yet, but it has been formulating itself for the past few years. I know it will be very therapeutic to finally get it all in print. I could never live with myself for killing the trees required for a paper version tho so I’ll be sending my story direct to the online world via the Internet. Shall I sign you up for the launch party?
