Mocking season, the short definition. a special time of year shortly after the winter holidays when friends travel from house to house sharing merry good times and mocking the neighbors. this happens over a few days time and you end up being mocked and mocking just about everyone! what fun!

Yesterday as I was walking into a department store I heard the familiar ringing of the Salvation Army bell and as I approached the door heard the older woman with the bell SINGING (LOUDLY & OFF-KEY) "I'll Have a Blue Christmas." As soon as she finished that song she moved on to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"...just as loudly and just as off-key. My trip inside the store was maybe 10 minutes and when I approached the door I heard her still singing but this time and ear-piercing "Hard Candy Christmas." Her enthusiasm completely warmed my heart and I dropped in considerably more than my my usual dollar as we exchanged thanks you's.

I'm still remembering that woman 24 hrs later. Proof that what you give of yourself in a situation can make a difference in someone's life. So with much enthusiasm I wish all of my Rudie friends a VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY!

Hi everybody. Sorry I haven't managed to get online here much this past couple of. months. I've been tied up with local rock and singer/songwriter music gigs a-plenty doing door and tickets for the promoter. Wonderful experience and I've been having such fun! I have heard many artists I would never have dreamed of going to on my own accord and my CD collection has increased considerably! Coming back down to earth for a minute or two to wish you all a very happy christmas and holiday season.

On this day that so many celebrate the birth of a special child into the world may we all be blessed by that birth....and each of us brings something special into the world just for having gone on the journey together, traveling around the sun, and expanding into the universe. Sure we all get caught up in our own mundane lives, but stop for a moment each day, look up into the stars and just wonder - if only for a moment! My blessing for Janis Ian and all her rudies.
