Orphan of the Road

I play a football pool every week at work. So far I have won four of them. I planned on spending some of it here at The Pearl Auction. BUT...
We adopted a family for Christmas again this year. Last year Robin decided none of us needed anything we couldn't buy. And so we spent the money on others.
This year the family has five children, three special needs.
The 14-year-old boy has been playing guitar since he was five. His guitar is down to two strings.
I made a comment on my Facebook page about the family and two of KC's fine guitarists jumped in to help out.
I'll dig the money for the Pearl Foundation out of other hiding places but my gambling money is going to make a family happy.
The other children like art so they will be getting art supplies.
Robin has the very down-to-earth necessity list of the family's wish list.
We plan to super-size it.
From a pagan and a heathen on the side of the rebel Jesus.
UPDATE
Four fantastic musicians from here in KC have come bearing gifts of a guitar and case, strap, strings, cord book, lessons and more love and friendship than I could ever hope to pass on.
