question about another artist

i'm a little challenged when it comes to contemporary artists. at best, i stumble across them while searching music online. i recently discovered dar williams and am enjoying her work. from the number of cd's she's produced, i take it she's been around a while. she evidently started quite young, as janis did. i'm wondering if anyone can tell me more about her. it's always nice to find more talented female singer songwriters following in janis's footsteps.

You can go to 'media' and listen to a couple of tracks...I wasn't too impressed, but maybe it takes a little more exposure; I'm not familiar with her work either...she's been around a long time, so she must have something.

Now that's a coincedence; I'm just listening to a CD by her! Unfortunately it's the only one I have because it's hard to find anything by her here in the Netherlands. Maybe on-line...
