Here in England on the Sunday nearest to the 11th of November each year we have Remembrance Day ceremonies for the fallen of all wars, but particularly of the First World War, which cost something in the region of 37 million lives, both military and civilian, and which ended at 11.00 AM on the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918.
