Orphan of the Road

Last year's event was to raise money for Abigail Henderson, the gal with me in the photo here (Chris Meck is the nice looking guy and her husband).

With a lot of hard work form volunteers we helped pay the bills from her bout with cancer. We wanted to do more.

So out of this benefit was born The Midwest Musicians Foundation, to help musicians who get sick. Because music isn't just some silly thing you do until you go to work, it is your work. And sometimes bad things happen to good people.

I worked the door for four-hours. Had a great view of everything going on.

Didn't win a raffle but got a lot of stuff from the live and silent auctions. (I'm broke LOL) I did save some money for the Rudie auction, never fear those snickerdoodles are MINE!

I hadn't heard most of the bands but they knocked my knickers off! If you have time give a listen

Couldn't find a link for The Columm

http://www.myspace.com/thegaslights This is Abby & Chris' band

Americana, glam rock and good ol' rock and roll.

Oh yeah, I wasn't the oldest person there (for a change). Course I felt like I was a kid again, 40 LOL
