Needing Some Rudie Vibes For My Father

Just a quick note as I have to leave...
As many of you know, my father has been in a nursing home for the past year. He has lung cancer, among other things. Recently, he starting aspirating his food and liquids so much, that we had a feeding tube inserted. He was sent to the ER this morning in respiratory distress. Seems it's cardiac related and the small hospital he's at doesn't have a cardiologist. They are sending him to a cardiac center in Charleston. The ambulance company I work for is going to be transporting and I am riding with them. The ER doc says he's not even sure my dad will be strong enough to make the trip. We're leaving in a few minutes, so I'll let you know something asap.

Thank you, everyone! Rudie vibes are the best. A quick update, then I am off to the hospital (which is 2 hrs away from me) for a bit.
Dad is doing better....he was moved from ICU to a private room yesterday. He's somewhat alert and even recognized me at times. Due to his age and health status, there's really not a lot they can do. He doesn't want any invasive treatment for the cancer (chemo, radiation), so we just have to hope for the best. He is at a level 1 cardiac center, though, so I know he is getting excellent care. Really not much more to say at the moment, but, I will keep you posted.
