Not for me, but for my daughter, Bailey.
She will be having surgery on Monday to have her gall bladder removed. She's been having health issues for some time, and we are hopeful that this will take care of all of them. Her surgery will be Monday afternoon, and she'll stay with us for a couple of days afterward.
All the good thoughts, prayers and Rudie vibes will be appreciated. You guys are the best!

Vibes from here too. She'll be right mate - the keyhole procedure is so good, and recovery is quick. I had my gallbladder out about three years ago, and had no problems afterward. The preceding pain was unbearable though, and I had an interesting confrontation with the ambulance officers (bastards), but that, as they say, is another story.

...the keyhole procedure is so good, and recovery is quick.
The other day she commented that she had wondered how it would "all come out that little hole." I should have told her that's what I thought shortly before I gave birth to her! I remember looking down at my very pregnant belly, thinking, "All that's going to come out where?"

I had laproscopic gall bladder surgery a few years ago...relieved a lot of pain and suffering on my part and the little tiny holes from the lap was much better than recovering from a big ole cut in my side.
Good luck to Bailey on Monday...vibes on the way vrom here.

Sending vibes to Bailey. I had an open cholecystectomy in 1984. Her surgery will be a MAJOR improvement on what that was.
Rudievibes are on their way from Germany!

Thanks for all the good wishes and Rudie vibes. I just finished altering her dress for her friend's wedding on Sat. I hemmed the bride's dress last week. Now I have to get "Wendy's room" ready for Bailey to stay here a couple of days next week. I have to go an buy a bed frame because Ned lost part of it in the move. Don't ask...
Rudie Vibes to Bailey from New Hampshire...
Um, how do you 'lose' part of a bed frame?!? I know you said not to ask, but I sort of had to... tell Ned to straighten up and fly right!

rudie vibes to Bailey, I know she will do well. My mom had her gallbladder out about 8 years ago, she was back to work in three days. one of the docs where i work had hers out a couple weeks ago. she showed me the scar, i said " Where is it?" then she pointed to this mini, tiny, little spot by her belly button. I said "Danggggggggggg!, they had to build me a new belly button!" we laughed i would have showed her my scars, but nobody needs that before breakfast in the morning,,,lol.
With a name like Bailey, how could she not do well. good irish name

OK. We were moving the rest of the small stuff before the movers got to the big stuff. We had a truck, and Bailey was helping, along with a couple other friends. At lunchtime, it was my duty to go to Subway to pick up lunch. I waited. When they finally got back, Ned came in and said, "Uh, we had a little accident." WHAT?!?!? I imagined that someone plowed into the truck. Then he said, "I didn't latch the door on the truck." WHAAAAT?!?!? How do you f*&^#@G NOT latch the door??? As they came up the driveway (It IS on a hill), stuff slid out onto the pavement. A specially made oak table for my sewing room was in about 20 pieces, and various boxes had rattles when they shouldn't have. And my antique copper cooker got smashed on one side.
I didn't blow up. I said no swear words. I kept my cool. But I did NOT go out to see the mess.
When all the rest of the stuff was being brought in, there was only one piece of the bed frame. It had been right near the door, and must have slid out on the trip. He retraced his trip, but didn't find the other parts.
So far, I've found the shattered remains of a vase that my brother sent me years ago from Okinawa, and Monday, I found that my cake cover was also smashed to smithereens. Ironically, at the auction, they had a cake stand and dome at yesterday's auction that I was able to get.
I hope I don't find anything else destroyed.
Ned? I let him live.
