Hollywood mourns another talented actor as Patrick Swayze loses his fight with pancreatic cancer.
I'm sure he's dancing in Heaven...
...And what type of dancing...?

Well "Dirty Dancing" of course.
I can't imagine him doing any other.
He died too early - as do all too many people.

Always thought of him as a bit of a lightweight in the acting department ("Roadhouse"), but you certainly can't say that you ever watched a Patrick Swayze movie and didn't have fun. He proved himself to be truly larger than life in the way he handled his final illness and used it to bring attention to an almost invariably fatal disease which is woefully under-researched since the major problem with pancreatic cancer lies in detecting it before takes over everything.
He will be missed. His movies will be enjoyed for a long time to come, and just maybe, his public struggle will end up saving lives. I doff my virtual hat to him.

Get ready for the onslaught of inevitable reruns (and I say this in the best possible way) of all his movies. Roadhouse, Ghost, Dirty Dancing, etc. etc. etc. The most enjoyable part of those three aforementioned movies to me was the music,... well aside from me being the horndog that I am and getting to see Kelly Lynch nekkid in Roadhouse of course. :p I had never heard anything by or about Jeff Healy until I saw Roadhouse and since then I've explored his work thoroughly. GAWD what a talent! He also was taken from us all too early as well. :(

My life mantra...
“Believe in yourself,
and imagine good things…
and moisturize…I cannot stress this enough.”

R.I.P Patrick...
A true artist with legitimate talent... And then there were some camp movies as well like "RED DAWN", still all in all very enjoyable... Just remember always... "Nobody puts Baby in a corner"!
Patrick will be missed...
Sympathy to his wife of 37 years and family....
Best to all
R.

Check him out as a sleazy golf pro in "Keeping Mum" - a very funny British movie.
