The Essential Janis Ian was available on Amazon.com and the ship date was September 8th. Has anyone received a copy of it sooner than that? If so how do you like the organization, quality of the C.D.?:cool:

Hey Tim,

Welcome to the board... Actually the newest "Essential Janis Ian" isnt really new... Many of us were given copies of "THE BEST OF JANIS IAN: THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY COLLECTION" at the Picnic in Pittsburgh some time back by Janis. Same music, same order just different artwork.... Still, you can bet we will be buying copies to show our support for Janis as well as to see the different artwork.
