I don't post much while I do try to keep up with what is going on with the JI board. I've always found your contribution to the JIMB very refreshing and in unique, direct style.
I have reread all of the recent posts and threads you have taken part in and I have no clue to what could possibly occur online to make you step away from posting. I've supposed than that you have received some sort of communication offline, privately. I only would like to say that if this is indeed the case, while it can be hurtful and undeserved, taking your presense away from the Board would be "punishing" all the wrong crowd, and I suppose including yourself. :-(

People, People, People...

I've seen now a couple of pages of posts speculating on why Chet has taken the path she has chosen to take, which specifically is to "post less"... Seeing her take this direction isn't necessarily negative in tone or reflection towards anyone... and if it is and she wanted us to know I'm sure she would say so... though in reality I think she said it all when she stated

As many of us know the board can be time consuming and to say the least and habit forming... Now its true "More Janis is always a good thing", I for one find myself also absorbed into the board often getting drawn into lengthy posts which really have little or no relevance to anyone or even about Janis... (Example.... This post)

Knowing what I think I know of Chet is that she is a very ambitious and outgoing person. My speculation is that she just chooses to post less allowing more time for other priorities in her life. She has in no way inferred that she is angry or upset at anyone... She hasn't even said she wasn't going to post... just that she is going to post less....

Chet I respect your decision and will as always look forward to your posts when you choose to share them... Whether you post more or less you are in my opinion a great plus to the Rudie community and will always welcome your posts or e-mails...

This of course is not good news. I have a habit of reading this forum early in the morning before going to work and often there is only one name on line during that time and that is (was) yours, Chet. Seeing youre name there brought gladness to my heart and I often wondered if I should send you an email saying a simple "Good morning", never did that, but in my heart I did say it to your name on the screen. It feels good to see your name and I would like to see it more often than I do nowdays. I want your your view on topics that are beeing discussed. Sometimes when we have so many things to do and think about in life and we get tired and weary, I know that one litle event or word said wrongly but not ment that way, can rip one´s heart out. Also a kind word or a thought can give so much joy.

In my noon break if I am near computer when I go to sleep I open Janis Ian web page and read what is written here. Yes it has become a habit, a habit I have and gives me great joy. Reading all them posts from all of you here is a delight and yours Chet is a big part in giving me that delight and joy, you bring smile to my face in the morning that often lasts all day. Please Chet I consider you my friend, fill the ring by your name with that green colour that tells me you are on line, I need your writing and keep them pictures of the Panda´s coming. Please reconsider.
