Sarah Palin Resigns As Governor, Wolves Everywhere Celebrate
You betcha!

Sarah Palin made a surprising announcement today that she is resigning as Governor of the state of Alaska. According to the Huffington Post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/shannyn-moore/sarah-palin-resigns-as-al_b_225515.html), Palin made a brief statement saying that she will not run for re-election and that her resignation will be effective in a couple of weeks. In perfect form, she refused to answer any questions.

What we’re not certain of (as well as everyone else in the media) is why Palin is ending her term as Governor early instead of waiting until 2010. Speculation is now rampant that she will seek the Republican party presidential nomination for 2012 — granted, if she can’t handle being Governor, what kind of chance does she stand as a President? Good luck with attempting to convince us otherwise.

Ever the nightmare for wildlife conservation in Alaska, the resignation of Palin raises hopes that the state will do away with cruel campaigns such as shooting wolves from airplanes. One thing’s for certain: this unfortunately will not be the last we hear of her. But go ahead and celebrate anyways — it’s a good day for wildlife in Alaska.

Is it too much to hope that she might be entering a convent?

Many are wondering if it's just the opposite! In other words, they're wondering if she's pregnant again and that's why she's stepping down. Others speculate that it's a pre-emptive type of thing. Step down now before the $h!t hits the fan. Others feel that she's stepping down in order to concentrate on a 2012 run for pres.

I'd be quite happy if she would simply go away....

Beth, i hear that, My dad thinks she is the practically the second coming, because, well he's pro life. after that he really has no idea what she is saying. i would love it if Dave's idea came to be and a cloistered convent for that matter, tho that hasn't stopped mother Angelica. Maybe.... But I know some cloistered communities of very progressive religious women where she would never make it! That might even be better in terms of conversion....

I'm "pro-life," too, beginning with a serious attempt at human population control. At the rate we're going, it will be a self-inflicted massacre at the hands of Mother Nature, if humanity survives at all. I heard on NPR this am a report just released by OxFam that indicates even a 1 degree increase in global temperature is predicted to have a devastating impact on the ability to produce adequate supplies of corn, wheat, and rice. Farmers currently looking at alternative crops in Indonesia, for instance, are taking a huge risk because of the increased rainfall.

We're riding on a spinning, wet, blue and green ball floating in black space. It's exactly what we need and it's all we have.

Beth, I know you are Pro life it shows in the wonderful way you and your family grow together in the stories you tell. My dad, on the other hand, is the fanatic type that protests planned parenthood and hosptials that perform abortions and all and any who might have a different feeling about bodies that don't belong to them.
