Ahoy! Pirate Party gets berth in European Parliament

Sweden's Pirate Party has won entry to the European Parliament in Brussels in elections held Sunday.

The Pirate Party gained 7 percent of the Swedish votes and secured at least one of the 18 seats that Sweden holds in the parliament.

Now I have to admit, I have never heard of any great Swedish pirates, but perhaps their day has come. Hoist the Jolly Roger!

Or that they would drink a lot and be depressed.....not really the sort of pirates I'm familiar with. Nonetheless, a pirate's a pirate.

Swedish Pirates eh? Perhaps they come with chocolate cutlasses?

As for them being overly polite, thast not a crime.. It matters not how you get the loot, whether by force or by charm, as long as you get the loot.
