View Full Version : Time to say Good Bye!
Another year at school is coming to its end and today I taught my very first class for the last time. This was the first class I ever had as a class teacher and they are very dear to me - not only for this reason. I'm not good at saying Good Bye, I'll miss them and we took another picture to keep the memories alive.

it's just see ya later! It's cool to think that you have affected their lives in ways you will never know.... I still keep up with Mrs. Kimball, from fourth grade.... she was the best! She gave us full sized tootsie roll pops. Now, that's a good teacher. Best to you, and best to your students. Love, E
Mimi, you have the same problem every year: you just can't say goodbye to your class. It shows that you have heart for your students and your profession. That's just wonderful
Eva
PS: you look really good

What a nice photo. Think of all the memories you have given them and touched their lives in your own special way.

Mimi, my dad retired 15 years ago and he still has students from his very first class look him up and call him and tell him how glad they were that he was their teacher. the same will happen for you I am very sure.

Mimi,
It doesn't have to be good-by forever. Not for all those kids. For years, I had former students return (as parents of their own kids who were currently my students). You haven't only reached their minds; you've touched their hearts.

Must say, even though my brain is on "off" some of my old students will talk to me from time to time. mental illness does not go over well in this community, not when you were once a teacher. it is almost as bad as being gay.
