Is it me? I can't seem to put in an avatar. I go to the edit avatar option and can't unclick the little box that says don't use an avatar.

:(

Okay, is it just those of us whose names start with D who are having trouble?

Nope, we are restricted from using avatars for the time being... So I'm using my avatar as my profile picture instead. Oh well, there's more space for signatures... and I could teach you all how to put pictures in there. Actually, someone better at teaching had better do that.

Forget those avatars, who needs them anyway. It's must quicker to load the pages without them ;)

Yes, but it makes me miss the zoo... The avatars were all locked away in the zoo, desptite sheddings of skins now and then.

is Spencer the chewing machine, my cousin's new 8 wk old Golden Retriever puppy.

He's now about 3 months old, much better behaved, MUCH bigger and just as cute and cuddly as you could imagine, and already way too smart for his own good.

Caterpillars? That's strange/interesting... Why are we being called caterpillars? I am definitely missing something here.

How does my avatar show up?

HA! Song, of course you don't know the reference, you aren't old!

I think Janis meant GRASSHOPPERS, not caterpillars.

a TV show from WAY before you were born, the Kung Fu master, would always say 'Patience Grasshopper' whenever his student was asking questions.

80x80....so our old avatars are too big now?

Ok, ok....will just have to make Horace a little smaller.

Song, you'll have to rent the Karate Kid series... only then will you understand. Wax on, wax off.

Blech.. Just say no to Ralph Macchio.

Quai Chang Kain better known as David Carradine (of Kill Bill fame) is the gent in question.. and the show was Kung Fu !

Okay, now the wax on/wax off business I get. I know about Karate Kid, I think I even saw it once. I've discussed it on numerous occasions, but that was just because I heard the song and Dad told me about it once or twice.

There are disadvantages to being this young... but I have time to learn.
