My new computer is here!

I just booted up my new eMac and I am an extremely HAPPY CAMPER! My old machine was s-l-o-w, couldn't handle current versions of flash (etc.) and frequently frustrating. Wish me well!

Thank you President Obama for that additional $300.00 that came with my tax refund, without which this wouldn't have been possible.

Don't you just love the smell of a new computer, and boots fresh out of the box with those geat little velvet bags in which they are shipped? Congratulations. :)

And that unmistakable smell when you fire them up the first few times. I've always "burned in" a new computer by leaving it on for 48 hours as soon as I have it running. If there's a bad component or the like somewhere, chances are it'll give out during that time and you can ship it back before you get too attached to it.
