I just installed a DTV terminal yesterday and now have 40 commercial-free music channels but a Polka channel is not among them (probably for good reason). Thanks for filling that void Mary. It's a Polkarama!

Does anyone else remember The Schmenge Brothers ("The Happy Wanderers") from SCTV? There are clips of them on YouTube I believe. I can't hear a polka tune without thinking of them. Then again, that's a nice relief from the experience of having to listen to a polka.

Its not that I dislike Polkas but being from here in Pennsylvania Dutch country I have to confess more then once I have desired to get out a cycle and tie down a polka enthusiast under a traditional distlefink and begin slicing them like freshly grown wheat..... It is true that some scientists have proven Polkas have been known to drive many to a state of frenzied violence....

Mary we are blessed with a local TV station that allows us to suffer polkas all to many hours a day as well...... Roll out the barrel...We'll have a barrel of fun..... Roll out the barrel.... then I will pull out my gun..... Oppppps sorry wrong lyrics.....

Having spent my teen years near Cleveland, I got to hear a lot of Polkas on every juke box in town, at every sock hop, and even learned to dance it.
I rather like a good Polka...good fun and frolic.:D

Bobby Vinton is glittering thru my head...he looked an awful lot like Richard Simmons, now that i think of it. i wonder if there is a story there?
