Just wanted to post my appreciation for all John L's work recently. I'm a mainframer/IBM zOS system man myself, so most of this web stuff is gobbldygook to me, but I know a lot of work when I see it. Just getting rid of that annoying relogin thing is an achievement worth a beer (Canadian preferably).
Well done Webmaster.

John, bless you for increasing the allowable post size. Made it easy to put up the transcript from the chat. :D For this and all the other million things you do.. Thanks!

Ditto.
And John, you do owe us an answer on the server's informal name (and yes, I am too lazy to trace it)

I am confused? I still have to re-log in everytime I come back fm another website or from shutting my browser.
Am I doing something wrong? It annoys the hell out of me as I can not keep my browser open all day (My boss keeps track of what we do here)

We were having two related issues around the login issue. THe most annoying for me was the "I cannot log out, because I am immediately logged back in" and the ever popular "I get logged out every time I post something"
Both of those cleared with the upgrade to the new server/database/software.
You are SUPPOSED to be logged out if you close your browser or completely leave the site. So, if you are experiencing that, it's working right...
You can try the "Remember me" checkbox doohicky if you like...but no promises there. I actually want to require a log in every so often for user security...
