I used to like Robin Williams a lot. Mostly because of the silly voices he did on Aladin. Nowadays he just gives me a headache. He is so damned loud and fires jokes at people with a 100 mph. Not my thing. Whatever he talks about. Sorry.

I loved it. Granted, the election was talked to death long before it actually happened, but even so....

I do have to wonder if Robin Williams has had anything to say about the infamous Iraqi shoe.

Eva,
I actually have been lucky enough to be at a couple of functions with Robin, we have some mutual friends. He is actually so NOT like his stage personna in person. He's rather soft spoken and very well mannered. I get a kick out of seeing him put on his comic act, it truly is an act.

That I understand :D It's his act that's too loud for me. I am sure he is different in private or in any case when he is not on stage :) Otherwise the people around him would go crazy and he would pop a vein in his head or something

Robin Williams has a very serious case of bi polar disorder and usually performs so "activly" when he has been off his meds or they need adjustment. he even did a tour called "off my meds"

We went to the same school at the same time, and I remember walking into the auditorium when there was a rehearsal going on for a play...Robin responded to a cue with some outrageous adlib, I wish I remembered what it was, but the whole stage dissolved into hilarity and took about a half hour to get back on track...even the director couldn't help but roar with laughter. I think everyone knew he was a special guy who would go far in show biz...he was just a natural comic. I didn't even know who he was then, but never forgot that funny guy...glad he went on to bigger and better things.
