after my long hunting for any info about Janis im finallly here among u ppl :D

a friend of my friend brought Janis' cd from her trip to israel in '96, if not her i would probably never know Janis:( anyway not certainly in kazakstan where i come from. i got a tape from my friend (where she dumped the whole cd content) i listened days&nights wondering how Janis looked like, i had no idea who Janis was, gosh, i even didnt know the correct spelling of her name, my friend told me "jennis jan" (not mentioning that i didnt either know the song titles). in kazakstan at those times there would be no music shops. next year in poland (where i moved to) i would go from shop to shop asking for "jennis jan" with no result. and still u cant find there Janis Ian in those (poor, to my mind, since they dont have Janis Ian) shops.
for years (hahahaha) typed in googles "jennis jan, jannis jan, janice jen" and nothing! and suddenly Janis' cd appears a few years ago in one of our internet shops. finally i saw Janis Ian! the real Janis Ian, not my imgination anymore!
a year ago i wasnt enough brave to join u, now its time to be here, with ppl who love janisian!

Maralski, what a neat story! Glad you were persistent and it paid off finding Janis and the website! Have you seen that you can purchase her cds and dvds here on the message board? Although I don't know if the dvd would be in the right format for you. But it would be a great way of catching up on her music and adding to your collection.
