Well, with the auction wrapped up I thought this might be a great place for people that wanted to coment on their goodies.... Hoops, John... Thank you both...

I was amazed it took 5 days for the interview disk to get from Pennylvania to Marjan in Nimegen, The Netherlands... It takes that long for a card to get from here to my brothers house in Jersey just 60 miles away...

Also we recieved "OBSERVATION ONE", with a gratious autograph all the way from the UK.... Thank you Mike... As soon as the book got here Betty grabbed it and ran off with it as she is an avid (if not crazed) reader so when I get my hands on it I will read it...(if she lets me) Mike thank you...

I hope the fan auction for Pearl becomes an Annual event...:)

Well, so far, the first auction item to arrive was my "Jar of Smoke"... LOL
It's a jar that has a toy firetruck inside, with a backdrop panarama photo of the front of the Candlewood Suites and parking lot behind it, and on the lid there is a photo of our gal from downunder Wendy, who caused all this alarm down in Pittsburgh.

One thing though.... JoanM or Wendy, can you tell me what the little bubble thoughts say on Wendy in the photo with the fire rescue guy, I can't read them cause they are small print, but Wendy does look good with devil horns!! :D

Mary, oh ye new proud parent of RGTAF#5 (I'm still thinking you should be able to work out some shared custody thing with Michelle and me..or at least let her know she's welcome for a visit..), KOTG created the "jar of smoke" with consultation and help from us, but SHE's the one who scored the small firetruck (we talked about how cool that would be but didn't think we could find one). If you haven't gotten it yet there is an scanned autograph from Wendy somewhere in cyberspace heading for you. Also, I'll be mailing you the Janis Ian pick we added to try and get Elliott to bid against himself for the smoke. jm

When I got back in town there was the WDIY two-hour interview with Janis packaged properly and waiting for me in its padded, plain, brown envelope. What a great interview. Janis was relaxed, sang a lot of songs live, Steve and Janis seemed to be having fun and I sure had fun listening.

This evening, the giclee print of Janis arrived. Its stunning - a masterpiece. I am soooooooooo happy :)

The postman arrived at 7pm. This never happens! He usually comes at 8am ...every morning. We had left earlier this morning and it was lashing rain. He said he wanted to deliver it safely. Was'nt that so nice of him....I'm so impressed. Has to be those rudie vibes!

Dragonlady, Hoops and Janis...........and any one else involved.......... The print truely is gorgeous....... and thanks for signing them Janis.....much appreciated.

I haven't been on board lately; we're having a great time with family...but I wanted to post that I got Amy Mother's basket in time to wrap it for Mark for Christmas, as predicted he loves it and it is going to be taken care of well and appropriately appreciated. I also got not one, but TWO Rude Girl Dish Towels from Judy. One was the one I bought, the the other is the one Elliott got which he asked Judy to send to me...we'd been having a conversation about having them get together to see if they can procreate...

Thanks Elliott and thanks Judy...I'll let you know how things work out between the two of them, seems they've already got a nice start based on their travel to the island. Anyone know the gestation period for towels?

Well, after a long journey from Houston to Nashville to Los Angeles, the
12-string (Pearl), arrived safely in it's new home. It's just beautiful and fits in well with the rest of the family. Many thanks to Janis and to Elliott for their generosity in making this a fun adventure. Not only did I get a new 12-string friend, but now Elliott and I are friends, and sort of relatives, too, I think.
