Just last night the president... I mean prime minister Harper managed to squeek out a two year extension of Canada's military mission to Afghanistan. As a Canadian deluded into thinking that we were a "peace keeping" nation (now raking behind any one of 50 nations) I am truly frightened. It is "days like these" that we live in that make me long for some mass movement of peace activists that I could hitch a cart to. I'm stunned by our army being put in offensive roles and the boys and girls who have and will die because of the decision to do so. I'm discouraged. "Come and dance, come and dance, I'm home from overseas" never made me more tearful.
