Congratulations to all of you over there! Congrats to Barack Obama!

I just got up in the middle of the night to see the results, turned on the TV and saw all those people happily dancing...
What a relief, what a great relief!

Many wounds to heal. There is no certainty. There is Hope, but only if fueled by bipartisan commitment.
And respect.
And civility.

Sen. McCain was more than gracious. He appeared respectful. And civil. And for now, there is Hope.

Interestingly enough, your Ambassador to Australia resigned at around 3PM your EST - what did he know before CNN? He said he couldn't work for the Democratic administration.

What a night!!! My thoughts were with you all the time.

Can't translate into words what Obama's victory means to me and how moved I've been when I heard the results, listened to his speech at Chicago and saw all those people's faces.

Can't remember any other political event that moved me like this since the fall of the Berlin Wall. This sure is a moment to remember all our lives. I'm happy for all of you over there - and for all of us living on this planet. It's the sign of hope we've all needed so urgently.

Sorry for sounding so pathetic this morning but this is how I feel. Optimism and hope will help to move the mountains which have to be moved.

Now relax and be happy!

Congratulations everyone in the US!

I hope people will give Obama time and not expect miracles overnight- he will be taking over at a very difficult time.

LOL Well good riddance to bad rubbish I say. I’m sure the next one will be less of a whiny baby.

The history that truly moved me was how the Obama campaign convinced the voters that they did, indeed, have power. The voter turn-out was spectacular, unprecidented and overwhelming in its' results. When you give people a voice there will, indeed, be hope.
