The wonderful and talented singer/songwriter Jann Arden did a cover album and she did Janis's song "At Seventeen" and I really think she did a great job with it. I have loved Jann ever since she released her song, "Insensitive" and my favorite Jann song has to be "Good Mother". I have seen shows like Crossroads on CMT where artists switch songs and sing each others songs. That would be such a great idea if Jann and Janis did an album of some of each others songs. That would be so great because most of their songs have messages behind them and both are just simply terrific women in their own rights. What do you guys think?

I love the CMT show Crossroads... they always seem to get great pairs of musicians together. Some of my favorite Crossroads pairs have been Melissa Etheridge and Dolly Parton, Pat Benatar and Martina McBride, Heart and Wynonna, Bon Jovi and Sugarland, and also James Taylor and the Dixie Chicks.

I have heard Jann Arden's "Uncover Me" album of her favorite songs which I like... I'll have to get on I-Tunes and check out her other albums.... she does a good cover of "At Seventeen".

Might I recommend you begin with LIVING UNDER JUNE Mary? It's from 1995 but contains a good mix of some very good songs, including both "Good Mother" and "Insensitive" which Ryan mentions as well as"Unloved," a duet with Jackson Browne.

I should also mention that Jann like our Janis has a great sense of humour too!
