I know some of you have jumped on the the Jance band wagon. I highly recommend her books-for me they are the "Great Escape"!

I've read all of her books and have met her several times at booksignings. And, just this summer I attended "HippieFest" concert at the Ste. Michelle Winery where Janis performed. The emcee made a comment about Janis being an intellectual, but Janis commented that she wasn't sure how much on an "intellectual" she was as she read books by John Grisham and J.A. Jance for pleasure. Well, I just had to send JAJ an e-mail letting her know that Janis liked her books. JAJ always responds directly to her e-mails and said that she was at that concert. I then learned that she had spent the afternoon with Janis and had hosted her for lunch. Long story short -- after a few months and several e-mails back and forth, I was invited to Janis's LRC at JAJ's house -- wow, what a night, being with both my favorite author AND favorite singer! Janis kindly permitted me to videotape the evening, but I'm still waiting for Costco to transfer the tapes onto DVDs. If Janis and JAJ give their permission, I'd be happy to try and post some of the footage onto YouTube (but have never done this before!!). Poor Janis was still sick (in fact, she had canceled concert in Eugene, Oregon only a few nights before) and didn't use a microphone, so the sound quality may not be that good. But, she gave a terrific performance. So, J.A. Jance is not only my favorite author because of her writing, but also due to her generosity to this fan!

I have just finished reading a couple of JA Jance books, loved them and plan to get more!
