Yep, now that I have a dog I am making snacks for him. Just for the fun of it (and because I'm an idiot) He loves them. And he stinks of fish now. Todays snack was a paté made of
wholegrainrice
codliver
breadcrums
peas
carrots
a drizzle of sunfloweroil
Of course one can make variations. Instead of rice or bread one can use mashed potatoes, quinoa etc. Instead of codliver one can use other kinds of fish from a can or meat like liver, heart, stomaches, etc. Maybe cheese or even tofu. For vegetables there are also all kinds of variations.
Of course I looked everything up on the net. I don't want to give him something that is bad for him. The reasons I made a paté (meaning I mushed it up, but it just sounds better) is that this way the dog gets to digest more of the food.
Do you have any snacks that you make for your pet sometimes? Please don't send in recipes that you made of your pet  I am very interested in how to make crunchy snacks because if I only give my dog soft and sticky things, it's not really good for his teeth. However, I give him something to chew on afterwards to 'brush' his teeth.
