Some time ago I communicated via email with Tom Paxton, and he suggested to me that he doubted that 4 of his post Morning Again albums would ever be on cd....................I happened to go to his site a short while ago to see the locale of his participation in a tribute to Christine Lavin (I didn't see that, but...............), and he has available on the site, tompaxton.com, Album 6 which is known for Jimmy Newman, Whose Garden Is This, Crazy John (his tribute to John Lennon), Cindy's Crying..............the hysterical Molly Bloom and Forest Lawn, and if Tom's songs have a woman's name in them, they are usually great works, and here he had Angeline is Always Friday, and Annie's Going to Sing Her Song, and MORE.

Additionally, Things I Notice Now, with the title song, two of his most beautiful songs, Wish I Had a Troubador and I Give you the Morning, his dramatic About the Children, Bishop Cody's Last Request.........and a history of the VietNam era, Iron Man.......sadly, many of Tom's songs, from long ago, are very relevant.............again, I don't think they are on Amazon, but no matter, nowadays it's great to give your $$$ to the artist directly, so head to tompaxton.com
This 'advertisement' was not approved by Tom Paxton (but I believe it would get his 'endorsement').........seriously, treat yourself, this has been a long wait!!

Thanks Barry,
I just made a visit and can see some of my money will be heading Tom's way. He's also got two new topical songs on the free downloads link, "I'm Changing my Name to Fannie Mae" and "Sarah Palin" and I see he'll be at the Birchmere November 1 and he's heading for the UK in February. He'll even be somewhat near me next April. If you haven't heard Tom and he'll be in your area don't miss the opportunity to hear him.

btw if you haven't found info on the Christine Lavin Tribute (11/22) here's a link (http://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=34111)

I have tickets to see Tom here in Middlebury next week! I have not seen him perform live since the 60's.

Still missing are How Come the Sun, and Peace Will Come. Tom has not said when/if they were released. On those albums one can find I Had To Shoot That Rabbit, and Peace Will Come, I Came Throwing Colors, two very important albums.

The concert I was so looking forward to this Saturday has been cancelled.

Apparently Tom's wife has been hospitalized with kidney failure and he understandably will not be able to make it here.

He hopes to be able to reschedule and I will hopefully be able to see him then.

In the mean time, please send out Rudie energy to Tom and his family.
