I only have to work one more week at the museum. I guess they are as fed up with me as I am with them and I get to leave early! Yaaaaaaaaaay!!!! :cool:

Hi everyone,

Well... this was it... Today was my last workingday. From of November 1 I'll officially be without a job. I worry about my income of course. It will drop considerable now that I'll have to go to social services. Luckily it's not that bad yet here in Netherlands that I will be really poor when I am on social servises money. But I'll have to cut back and talk to some people because I have some trouble paying my bills right now.

I am very okay to be free of the museum right now. This last week was a bit strange. Doing all those 'last things', say goodbye to people, clear my desk, take some of my private stuff home etc. And it was a really really strange feeling to go away and realise that after 9 years I won't be coming back there on Monday.

I must say, I won't miss the drama, the aggrevation and the amateurism. I won't miss all the difficult to work with people and the ones I don't like. I will miss some of my collegues whit whom it was always nice to work and who I also like a lot on a personal level. I still think it's a beautiful and interesting museum, although the last few years I kind of lost sight of that because of all the bad things happening during workhours.

I came home today and cuddled the dog. Then we went out for a walk so he could do his ehm... you know... bodily functions and all. Then we played with the ball on the field behind my house. We had a really good time. Then we went back up to the appartment and I combed and brushed him. Then I cleaned him with a wet cloth because he was kind of dirty. Especially his paws! :eek: And combed and brushed him a second time. No he is one handsome little dog again :) After that more cuddling.

So this is what my days will look like the upcoming weeks. Take care of the dog, take care of myself, get all the moneystuff in order, clean the house and write jobapplications. Also I have been thinking to offer to be a cleaninglady a few hours once a week for the two guys who live in my friends' house while he is in India. We can arrange a reasonable price I am sure. And I can keep an eye on the house. Last but not least I'll have some more time to take care of everything that's going on with my womens' SM group. I am a bit behind on things, so I can catch up now.

All in all it feels like a new chapter. I feel very good. The weather is quite okay again and there are some nice things going on; I can notice that again. At the mall the woman who cleans the toilets got a rose from a boy because (and I quote) 'he always likes to pee there because the toilets smell so nice and clean and the lady is always so nice to him'. She was very touched. I think it's sweet :)

Free at last then? :) Never mind, have a week off and during that week you will be able to decide what you want to do with the rest of your life. If you're stuck for something to do you can always come over here and help out with the Campaigns Updates :rolleyes: We only stopped early today because we ran out of envelopes :eek: And Catherine started her new job yesterday.... :)
