Original Stories based on the songs of Janis Ian!
How did I ever miss this book??? A member of my Carly Yahoo Group mentioned finding this and I was amazed it existed! I can't wait to delve into it.
How many here have read it?
from the front cover
"Stars are suppose to entertain; here they live up to expectations." --Booklist
from the backcover..
Publisher's Weekly--
This dazzlingly, highly original anthology...seems to vibrate with death throes of one world passing away, while far stranger ones struggle to be born.
Stars is a truly unique undertaking, and an intensely personal one as well. It was born at the World Science Fiction Convention in Philadelphia, when Mike Resnick began introducing Janis Ian to many of the writers whose work she adored for decades.
When Janis discovered that these writers were as enamoured of her music as she was of their writing, what could be more exciting a creative venture than to meld these two universes into one?
"For me, science fiction is the jazz of prose." Janis Ian
