Its views like this that keep me here in Vermont. I was less than 2 miles from my house when I took this, on my way to work.

The low clouds are actually hanging over Lake Champlain. The mountains in the background are the Adirondacks.

crap...now I feel bad.... :o

Actually we were only supposed to be in Lake George for one night and travel over to Bar Harbor, Maine, but it was being inundated with rain so we decided to stay put. I've been to Lake George numerous times but hadn't made that ride up to Lake Placid. It was beautiful!
