amazon.co.uk shipped book today!!!

Can't believe this! Yesterday's email said that expected shipping was Aug 13th to Aug 26th and today's email said it was dispatched! Getting excited - was beginning to think I would have to get a US person to ship it to me.

Amazon is clearly all over the place at the moment!!

I was so annoyed with them that I cancelled the copy I ordered from Amazon UK and ordered the book from Amazon.com. That copy is on its way. If I'd not that done, the chances are that I'd have the book later this week. Oh well, maybe I'll learn to be a bit more patient.

.... they sent the "your book has been despatched" notice to my beloved on the release date, but now the tracking thingy says "estimated delivery 27th August!
I wish I'd gone to the States for it personally now, at least I could have tasted Redjack's ribs!

I checked my tracking and it says expected delivery 5th August. It couldn't take longer to get to Manchester than Dublin so I reckon it must be a mistake; if it's dispatched it must be on it's way. I bet you get it next week Anne.

Amazon is usually pretty efficient. What's happened? Mind you, the copy I have coming from the States may be waiting for me at the Post Office. I came home tonight to find a note saying they'd tried to deliver an Amazon parcel. That's just less than a week.... I will know tomorrow.
