I bought 6 new cd's to fill in some wholes in my music collection... I have to admit my musical tastes tend to be a bit on the diversified side... Most bases are covered other then rapp and Hip hop which out of respect for the efforts I will acknowledge as music... but just barely.. and I won't buy it....

That said I'm sitting here now with nothing better to do then do internet research for our trip and listen to these CD's.... God ain't music grand!!!

The CD's I bought were:

Michael Jackson--------Thriller.... I had the lp at one time but had forgotten what a great album it is...

Procol Harum-----------Greatest Hits.... I always loved the song "Whiter shade of Pale"

Steely Dan-------------Aja....Another one that I had on lp and will always be a favorite...

Sergio Mendes & Brazil 66-86---- Talk about great moldie oldies...

Romantics--------What I like about you....Real commercial but good music

Queen------------ Greatest hits..... This copy I won't lend out ;)

Thats my afternoon under the thunder and lightning....

Is my age showing???

Best to you all

Randy, is it a good thing or a bad thing that 4 of the 6 were things I bought to replace some favorite vinyl?

Good choices Randy. One thing my sister used to tell me is that buying music is an investment. I don't know if that is true or not, but I say that to myself and I never feel guilty when I stock up on cds!

Liza Minnelli once said in one of her shows that certain songs are like friends to her. That really was a word of truth to me!

Enjoy your music! :)

Randy,

They seem like perfect choices for a Road trip! See you in Chicago next week!

Exellent choice, throw in Harvest with Neil Young, Iīm your man with Leonard Cohen and Tusk with Fleetwood Mac plus hundreds more where that comes from and donīt call it old music. This music youngens one. It is not until you hear that thumb, thumb music that your hair turns grey..........well maybe not Chemical Brothers, they are actually quite good.

I might have to add some Jimmy Buffet as well, but that music might be too Pirate Like for Randy!
