My beloved has order my book and cd separately - the book receipt says it will be shipped between 13 Aug and 22 Sept???? The CD says it will be sent on 21st July... what's going on? Grrrrrr.....
I may be down to Nottingham to sit next to you reading on the sofa David!

I'm not taking any chances on delivery schedules. My plan is to pick up the autobiography at my local independent bookseller LEFT BANK BOOKS, as soon as they have it in stock. I called them a month ago to pre-order. It's worth the price difference, I get the book sooner and I'm supporting an independent bookstore.

Only one more week. I'm excited. :D

I trust mine Gisli but it's such a pain to track down a postal delivery if it doesn't fit in my apartment mailbox. Same goes for courier services. We never seem to be at the same place at the same time. However, unlike you I won't be going international to get my copy. I’ll Just be taking a short trip over to the mall bookstore close to where I live.

I have reserved all four?? of the books and all three?? of the cd's from my bookstore. I hope they order more.... I can't help it; I call everyday to see if the book has arrived! As of last night, nothing. The cd hits on Tuesday and they expect it to arrive that day.

I've ordered book and cds from amazon.de, David, and they tell me July 22-24 for the cds and 24-26 for the book. I hope to receive both this week if all goes well.

I really can't remember to have ever looked forward for a book this much and this long... :)

The only time I ever anticipated a release with this avidity was the second, third and fourth 'Star Wars'!
Of course, I always wanted a new title from whatever author I had just finished reading, but managed to contain that by reading someone else just as good, or in a different genre.
But this Biog really has me champing at the bit, so to speak...I sure hope Amazon is prompt about shipping, hope it gets here in a few days or a week...

My order for the book is with Amazon.co.uk and the despatch date is given as 23 July. The CD's ordered from Amazon.com and has a despatch date of 25 July. They give an arrival date of August 20, 2008 - September 10, 2008, but my experience is that items rarely take much more than a week or so. From Amazon.ca it's a very different story - items can take at least a month!! Sorry Dee.
