Hi folks,
I'm not preaching just sharing, so hold your weapons!!!!!! I swear this message board has a lot of anger displacement as Freud would say. Our band was going to play the song, Devil goes down to Georgia, as they had been chosen to play in the Peach Bowl. But some born again, made some comment in the paper about the song being about the devil so the band director withdrew the song. It was in all the papers. Even on the today show. Charlie Daniels mentioned it on the show.
Just sharing not preaching.

Everyone at CD Hylton High School was quite upset over the music being withdrawn. It took just one comment from a man in the community for the band director to withdraw the song. The sad thing was the kids had worked hard all summer on their band routine for the show. Personally, if I was the band director I wouldn't have changed the song. Schools have become places of paranoia today. Thanks to the Religious Right......
