Wow! Really beautiful! I've seen some good rainbows before, but never one that impressive...
On an unrelated note, you're in Mansfield, OH? I used to live in Mount Vernon (for about three months). If you ever visited Sips Coffeehouse in downtown Mount Vernon last summer, you might have seen me ;)
Beautiful, Melba! Good photography as well. Thanks for posting the link.
Stunning photos, Melba. And speaking of Missouri skies...here in Central Missouri we had tornadoes come through on 3-12 and here is a picture an acquaintace took of one that came through a couple of miles from where I live:

Beautiful pictures. I've seen a double rainbow before, they're gorgeous. Heh, I should show you my photography sometime, though mostly they've been transformed to get the mood I want across. I just thought of this because I had to put my work up for the school's annual "Creation Celebration" and I'll be returning in two hours so that I can look around, listen to the concert, etc... I just always feel somewhat embarassed and nervous when people talk to me about my work.

Mount Vernon to Washington? Quite the contrast. I actually grew up in Lexington, and my brother married a gal from Mount Vernon. They lived there in the mid nineties, until they divorced. She died in 2000 and her parents now live there with both her boys. I worked for Airborne Express for a short while and I had the Mount Vernon route back then. Never been in Sips, however. It truly is a small world. :D
All those photos were amazingly beautiful! Thanks for posting, and for the site...the guy from Missouri is really good, and has a fine eye for composition.
But I was most impressed with the power and truly terrifying image Judy's friend took of the tornado with lightning! Wow! I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere near that horror!...but I stole it and saved it! Unforgettable.
Thanks, y'all.

Indeed! What a small world! Yeah, it is a bit different from Mount Vernon here ;) I'm only out here to get my Master's and then who knows where I'll be. Maybe Toronto?
I lived out in the south end of MV near the Nazarene University. My partner works for Kenyon College, so that's why I was there for the summer between undergrad and grad school...
Hope you are enjoying/enjoyed the nice weather Ohio had for the last couple of days :)

Those pictures are beautiful. Especially the picture with the tree glowing.
Whenever I see a rainbow, I am filled with hope and hapiness.

I made a lot of deliveries to Nazarene college...and yes, the weather has been really good...too bad the heavy rain is coming.
