Okay, we're heading to Nashville in late April and from there to Seveirville the beginning of May. Anybody have suggestions of things to do/see/hear/eat while we're there? We already plan to visit Gibson, the Opry, probably the Bluebird (depending on who's playing) CM Hall of Fame.

All suggestions are welcome.

I'd go to the Bluebird regardless of who is playing. Never had a bad night there - this is generally v. good music and you never know who will show up and join in - one night Crystal Gayle was in the audience and did 2 numbers!

Oooo, thanks guys, keep those great ideas coming. And Randy, we checked out Dollywood w/ an eye to seeing the craftspeople and possibly a show, but it's ridiculously expensive, particularly for those of us who don't do rides. We discovered there is a "Heritage Trail" of craftspersons in the vicinity of the resort, so we'll do that instead.

Heading out shortly and just wondering if anyone has anymore suggestions for Nashville or Sevierville? In short, BUMP!

When we lived in E. Tenn, some friends and I did a small part of what was probably the Heritage Trail. Very interesting. You just get a map and drive from place to place in the "hills and hollers." At that time, the offerings were quite varied. I haven't been back to that part of TN in many years, so I don't know what it's like now.

Have fun. Check out Knoxville to see if it's Azalea Festival time. It's great to drive around and see all the lovely flowers in bloom.

FYI, Knoxville is pronounced "NOX-vul," Sevierville is "Suh-VEER-vul," and Maryville (the Knoxville airport is there) is "MEHR-uh-vul." Right, Darlene!? ;)

I have no idea. I have never been there. But I wish you a good time.

Thanks, Karen! Actually the Heritage Trail is (I believe) now known as the Heritage Craft Trail (if your talking the 8 mile loop near Sevierville) and we're all looking forward to that one, but nice to have our plan confirmed!

We'll be thinking of you on that special day! ;)

Thanks for the good wishes Eva!
