Everybody back on the Bus!!!

The Janismaniac Iangelical Tour Bus is back, and the seats are filling up quickly. The bus has some new lettering and pinstriping and an added safety feature, the giant glasses for the benefit of Sister Rose, who can never seem to have hers on hand. You may also notice that a few folks have switched their seats. Redjack has inched his way all the way up forward - I think he has designs on grabbing the wheel from Sister Rose - can't imagine why - but he will have to get past Hoops first, who is riding shotgun.

Bat has moved out front with Amy - she found the window seat too confining. Marcia Drummergal and Saxman are jamming, and Irish Beth and Songdragon are groovin' and movin' to the music. Randy VA is illuminating the dance floor. Tazz is sulking - wants to dance with Melba - who continues to snooze blissfully in the back. Diver Boy moved back aft as well, he just got some new shoes and wants to keep them clean. Oak Kitten has been joined on the roof by her husband John (aka Ferdinand the Bull).

Denise is still leading the Rudie convoy. For those of you who have changed your Avatars - for most of you I kept the ones you had when you first got on the bus. I updated Song Dragon and Dragon Lady's because their new avatars show up better.

I am sure I have probably left some folks out - not intentionally - please apprise me of any sins of omission or comission and I will fix them.

I was debating whether to put Princess Bride on the bus. On the one hand, who would be better qualified to keep "an eye" on the Rudie Rabble? But she may prefer to stay with Janis - probably a lot safer.

Just got the busses out of the shop. They have been retrofitted with some spare parts from a few naval air stations and are ready to go. Hold on to your hats, it's going to be a bumpy ride! With all the Rudies who will be climbing aboard in Europe, we're going to have to add a second deck after we arrive.

in fact this bus can ride the rails if need be, not just the sidewalks. Eva, queen pirate and Redjack, if you would like to take the helm whilst we sail , it would be out pleasure to see how it's really done.

Fortunately, Janis and Chet made it safely to the UK. Can't say the same thing for the JIRT bus. There were some problems with the final approach. The Rudies dancing on the roof destabilized the aircraft. Then Redjack and Sister Rose starting arguing over how to bring it down. Redjack kept insisting Sister Rose was "on the wrong side." Sister Rose was yelling back, "The wrong side of what? The SKY?!!" There was a bit of a tussle in the cockpit, and, well, looks like we are going to need to another mode of transportation. . .

On the bright side, Denise glided in for a smooth landing unscathed. Unfortunately her bus is a wee bit too small to take on the American Rudies and all the new ones we are about to acquire. . .

Your post reminds me of when Paul Hogan first started out he had a comedy show on each week, and one of the skits was him as an Italian Magician with a very beautiful female assistant named Maria. His very complicated magic never worked, so he would say "keepa onna dancin' Maria". Those of my vintage who remember this use the phrase now whenever something we or someone else is doing, doesn't work.

I think now it should change to, "keepa onna dancin' IB" :D

Don't worry, I did not take it as a criticism. I really want to get back to the bus, but right now I am in the home stretch of my dissertation. Between that, working full time and playing Navy on the weekends, I don't have a lot of down time to fool around.

I am doing well, thanks. Keeping myself incredibly busy helps.

but I keep my promises. When we last left the Rudie bus, it had crash landed in the UK. We had to get a new one so we could load on all the Rudies from the other side of the pond. As you can see, we are getting pretty full up, but there are still a few seats left, so if you want to board, give me an e-shout.
Sorry the picture is so small, but as the image gets more involved, it gets harder to post in a legible size. I made several attempts before I was able to get it this big. I am open to suggestions from any of you computer graphics wizards out there. This if a GIF file. The original is a 4.15 BMP Paint file.

Yikes! I left out Godsistah! Actually I had her in the earlier version, then I screwed up the final save and lost 2 hours work, and when I did it over I inadvertently left her out. Now she is here with Little Rudie. I had second thoughts about putting them too close to the Dutch Rudie cats - as they are getting rather rambunctious over there. Queen Eva does not seem to be reining them in and I wouldn't want Little Rudie to get the wrong ideas about proper feline behavior.
