(Or is that Absent-Minded Rudie?)
Wow, you all must think I lost the address to this site... It's been a while! Too long, in fact.
Regardless, here's an update coming to you via Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
As you might recall, I moved back to Ohio from Washington after failing to complete my Master's degree that got too dang expensive. I moved back in my with my partner, Adam, in July last year and began to search for gainful employment. All I was able to find was rather worthless employment at a bank. And with the economy tanking, prospects weren't looking bright. Dozens of applications later, I finally got a career-oriented job in my field! Hooray! And it triples my current income. Worries be gone!
I'll be working at Kenyon College as a microbiology research assistant. The profess I'll be working with is well-known for her research on bacteria, which I will be able to join in on and get published. Excitement abounds. I start in mid-April, so I've got some time, but it's going to be great to get back into a lab environment and work with bacteria.
Not much else is new. I'm in Phoenixville, PA visiting my sister right now. Oh! And I preordered my copy of Janis's book through a local bookstore. Can't wait. :)
Anyway, I hope to be clicking back on through this site regularly again. But you never know. I am, after all, now an absent-minded professor('s assistant). ;)
Missed you all! What's new in your lives?
