Can't wait - 6 more days!
And Janis, whatever you decide to put on your ad mat (and what wonderful ideas you are getting), I am SOOOO looking forward to the evening! I'm bringing my sister, and my best friend who's a local Radio DJ, and her mom. None of them have seen you before!
Have a safe trip and I'll try to stop ANY MORE SNOW from coming here!!!

Hey Denise....

You must be thrilled as the minutes click by before the concert... Betty and I always get a kick out of exposing Janis (Opppps wait thats sounds bad) to fans of the past that just days before said things like "Who's Janis Ian" or "Oh I think I remember that song"... To see the faces of friends go from the "I don't know who she is" to the "Wow, thats the best concert I've been to in years" phase is always fun and amazing....Have you ever noticed the looks of newly introduced rudies in an audience? From the opening hush they just seem to melt into total awe of her talent and personality... I've found that I enjoy evesdropping at people that had forgetton or never been exposed to Janis... Some of the comments are really amazing... The looks on their faces during and after are inspiring.... Your friends and family are in for a great treat...

My collegue / friend who came with me to a concert went from "Who is Janis Ian?" to tears during the concert. I said: "Yes! We have a winner!" We had fun :D Have fun too!

....just got home...wonderful wonderful evening...
it's late and I have to get up at 4:30 to get the school bus rolling on time...
BUT I just had to log in real quick and give my apologies for taking no pictures and for not giving you a set list.
This time I sat back, enjoyed every word of every song without distraction and enjoyed watching my sister & friends soak it all in as well.
They loved her as I knew they would.

Janis, another unforgetable night ....you looked refreshed and happy as hell to be back up there performing....

(and it was nice to get another quick hello in after it was over...)
