It's freaky.... just this afternoon on my ride home on the vanpool, we were just talking about Xanadu and singing the song!!! Along with our own horrible version of Don't Cry Out Loud by Melissa Manchester, and then went into Fernando, by Abba!! What were we smokin' ?
We all must have had a very very long day at work...
... tomorrow I'm bringing a CD filled with Neil Diamond and Abba's Greatest Hits.... oooh it's going to be a fun ride in the van tomorrow!!! :)
Don't worry, I've already brought on a Janis mix, too.... All six of us alternate our musical tastes every week.

Do I have to like that movie to be an honoary lesbian? I'm having doubts....
Lucille, I'll fess up: I am a lesbian and I have never liked it. Sorry :o I saw Xanadu of course but hey, it was the eighties, I liked Olivia Newton John (a bit) and most of all I liked the Electric Light Orchestra. Dave, you don't have to worry. Gisli, you do have to worry. Mary... I don't know what to say...

You are right gisli, I'm sober....and it sucks! Although it would take a hec of a lot of fire water to make it sound any better.

Eva, so are you saying you have never liked being a lesbian?! I know, I know....it just reads that way.
Marcia ;) ;)
In one word Gisli, yes, you should worry! :p
I actually have the soundtrack CD to that movie, but more as as ELO fan than a ONJ fan. Hated the movie itself.

Quite fond of ELO myself--and MOST of Olivia Newton-John's music. Just don't think much of "Xanadu". Or "Can't Stop The Music", I'm sorry to say.

I... I... It really just reads that way. Believe me
ELO I loved. Xanadu wasn't their best carreermove, I think. Or Olivia Newton John's. But it was the eighties and we all loved pastelcoloured legwarmers. Even the straight boys in my school wore them.

I liked Xanadu AND Can't Stop The Music, but I love bad movies. I don't think I'm likely to be inducted as an honorary lesbian, though.

I LOVE bad movies....just didn't find either of those bad enough to be funny. "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", on the other hand.....

Really? I thought Can't Stop The Music was hysterical, especially the way they staged YMCA at the swimming pool. It was a real landmark moment in the history of bad taste.:)

I vote against honorary lesbians who are not female. It's just not right! Just like pastelcoloured legwarmers *shudder*

Oh yuck. That is truly execrable. They should learn the words to the damn song. "Last night I heard owls pukin' in my bed. . ."

No our voices were REALLY bad!!! But we had fun, and that was the whole point, isn't it? :)

Thanks Bat...somehow my dirty mind thought of some other secret meaning, my bad.
Anyways I found another film to watch, it just finished on the tv and it was so bad I laughed my head out.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buAnD2ph-ps&feature=related ....I cant remember the last time when I laughed this much and so hard. Dont watch it, it reveals my good taste for bad movies. There are leg warmers in that one also.
That's a funny one, Gisli! Lots of laughs and wishful thinking! LOL

Spent the evening at a movie with a very nice legwarmer....sometimes it's very nice sitting in the back row.

Oh yes! As both you and legwarmer were both a bit fashionly challenged...
